There aren't many places in Australia where you can spend as much time as you like shooting aerial photography for a $4 flat fee. But when the weather's right - and for the price of a parking ticket - the NSW National Parks will let you spend as long as you wish shooting from the 'Poor Man's Helicopter', otherwise known as North Head.
Today, North Head dished up the goods, with a building 15-20 knot nor'easter and beautiful late afternoon sunshine laying on ideal conditions for a very pleasant few hours getting some great images of the leading yachts in the Cabbage Tree Island Race as they came home.
Crosbie Lorimer captured these images while Dale Lorimer shot video (look out for smoking kite runs, buried bows, broaches and spinnaker rips, coming soon to Sail-World!).
