Rob Greenhalgh – onwards and upwards

Rob Greenhalgh has won just about every 18ft Skiff regatta going and this time around won the 18ft Skiff World Championships in Sydney, beating the best Australia could offer and the Manly Ferry, which cheated him of the championship the year before.
That certainly got me singing ‘swing low sweet chariot’!
Okay if you have been watching the media you already know all that, but Rob has also been turning his hand to other events as well, with some stunning displays:
Winning the International 14’s Worlds in Japan as well as superb results in Melges, Mumm 30, 1720 and even the Fastnet as part of the winning team on Jazz in the highly competitive class zero.
You may be wondering how on earth Rob is going to better his achievements this year, well Rob has some unfinished business in France.
One of Rob’s top priorities for the season is to win The Tour de France a Voile.
Rob’s first attempt at The Tour de France with Team Panther in 2002 was a very creditable 4th, which in itself is a great achievement in such an increasingly competitive environment.
Bang the Corner asked Rob a few questions about his next ‘Tour’ Campaign.
