Discover Boating Week is a celebration of the recreational boating lifestyle and the joys and fun that come with spending quality time on the water. Whether you're a fisherman, paddler or sailor, there is something for everyone.

Over 40 events will be taking place across the state from October 18 - 25 and the best part is, they all absolutely free!

Discover Boating Week kicks off tomorrow, so take a quick look through some of the fun, family friendly events that are taking place this weekend across NSW!


Date and Time: All Days, 18th - 26th October - 10:00am to 5:00pm
Location: Festival Pontoon, opposite Maritime Museum Darling Harbour
Activity: Understanding Boat Sharing
Host: US Yachts
Details: Try sailing aboard a yacht, learn more about boat charter, yacht syndication, investment and information on buying one of your own!

Date and Time: Saturday 18th October, 12:00pm to 3:00pm
Location: Warner's Bay Lions Park, off Macquarie Drive, Eleebana
Activity: Try A Trailer Boat
Host: Newcastle Jet-Ski Centre
Details: Try and browse Kawasaki Personal Water Craft with advice on buying, selling and finance from qualified PWC experts!

Activity: Sailing Experiences - Other
Host: Sydney By Sail
Details: Learn more about the Sydney by Sail team building courses, adult sailing school, yacht charters, yacht syndication plus romantic getaways!

Date and Time: Saturday 18th October, 9:00am to 1:00pm
Location: Vaucluse Bay, Wentworth Road, Vaucluse
Activity: Discover Paddling - To book email openwater@rivercanoeclub.org
Host: River Canoe Club
Details: A day to try paddling a canoe/kayak and allow visitors to get on the water and experience the sport. This event aims to cater to adults.

Date and Time: Saturday 18th October, 10:00am to 3:00pm
Location: d'Albora Marina - 1B New Beach Road, Rushcutters Bay
Activity: Marina Open Day
Host: d'Albora Marinas
Details: Rushcutters Bay will be open to the public and educational tours of the facility will run at 10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00pm, 1:00pm and 2:00pm!

Date and Time: Saturday 18th October, 10:00am to 2:00pm
Location: Illawarra Yacht Club, Wollongong
Activity: Try a Trailer Boat
HOST: Hi-Tech Marine
Details: Try trailer boat brands such as Atomix, Alloycraft and Savage! Expert staff on hand to help with information on sales, equipment and servicing.

Date and Time: Saturday 18th October, 12:00pm to 3:00pm
Location: Warm-up Lake at Penrith White Water Stadium
Activity: Discover Paddling
Host: Penrith White Water Stadium
Details: This event will introduce juniors and kids to the different disciplines of paddling such as Freestyle, Slalom, Recreational and Canoe Polo!

Date and Time: Saturday 18th October, 10:00am to 2:00pm
Location: Drummoyne Boat Ramp, Taplin Park
Activity: Understanding Boat Hire
Host: BOAB Boat Hire
Details: The BOAB team will have knowledgeable staff present to educate visitors on Boat Hire, training courses and getting your boat license!

Date and Time: Saturday 18th October, 10:00am to 2:00pm
Location: Botany Bay Boat Ramp, Port Hacking
Activity: Understanding Boat Hire
Host: BOAB Boat Hire
Details: The BOAB team will have knowledgeable staff present to educate visitors on Boat Hire, training courses and getting your boat license!

Location: Dowling Beach Boat Ramp, off Hollywood Drive, Lansvale
Activity: Try A Trailer Boat
Host: A&J Outboards and Boating Services
Details: Try a trailer boat with Formosa boats and Kawasaki Personal Water Craft available, and information on boat and engine sales and servicing!

Date and Time: Sunday 19th October, 10:00am to 3:00pm
Location: d'Albora Akuna Bay, Ku-ring-gai National Park, Terry Hills
Activity: Marina Open Day
Host: d'Albora Marinas
Details: Akuna Bay marina will be open to the public and educational tours of the facilities will be held at 10am, 11am and 12pm!

Date and Time: Sunday 19th October, 10:00am to 3:00pm
Location: d'Albora Marina - The Spit Mosman
Activity: Marina Open Day
