Green Award is proud to announce that VSTEP Simulation, one of the leading developers of DNV certified maritime simulators in the world has joined Green Award as an incentive provider.

From the first of October 2014 onwards, all Green Award certified offices are granted a full year of free premium support when purchasing a VSTEP maritime simulator (product category NAUTIS). The offer applies to all maritime simulator types, ranging from desktop simulators and ECDIS systems all the way up to DNV Class A Full Mission Bridge Simulators. Premium support is valued at an average of around €15,000 depending on simulator type and will be offered free to all Green Award certificate holders that purchase a simulator from VSTEP.

Green Award certifies ships and shipping companies that are extra clean and extra safe. Ships and companies with a Green Award certificate reap various financial and non-financial benefits. By rewarding high safety and environmental standards in shipping, Green Award makes above standard ship operation economically more attractive.

VSTEP’s NAUTIS simulators are a new generation of simulators for the maritime industry. The simulators fulfil training requirements in full compliance with the latest international maritime standards and regulations and include a full range of simulators, from desktop trainer to full mission bridge, and also including simulators for Tug operations and Offshore.

Jan Fransen, Executive Director at Green Award Foundation: 'Green Award is happy to welcome yet another type of Incentive Provider to our network. With our special emphasis on the human element, it is a logical step for a company that provides advanced simulators to the maritime industry to join the network.'

Labeled as a new star in town in a market dominated by several longtime competitors, the VSTEP NAUTIS simulators have quickly risen through the ranks, obtaining the highest DNV Certification due to their quality and user friendliness. With focus on a personal approach, with dedicated account managers guiding customers from the planning phase all the way through to the actual implementation and installation, VSTEP prides itself on customer satisfaction and effective, direct communication and high quality support at all times. VSTEP NAUTIS simulators are next gen simulators, offering better performance with substantially less hardware than other simulator solutions currently on the market. Less hardware guarantees less hassle and keeps any downtime to an absolute minimum.

VSTEP is proud to be part of the Green Award Incentive Providers’ network and looks forward to a continuing partnership with the foundation.
