Kiwi Yachting welcomes on board Don Wright to the in the role of PVC Production Supervisor to the Southern Pacific Inflatables team.

Southern Pacific has experienced a period of growth over the last year since acquisition by Kiwi Yachting Consultants.

Partnerships with OEM manufacturers have seen a rise in demand for bigger Hypalon tubes. New designs, colours and branding in the smaller tenders have also bolstered growth.

Don’s extensive marine experience places him well to supervise manufacturing at Southern Pacific’s West Auckland plant.

Don (aka Jawsie, Jaws ) sailed with Company Director Richard Macalister on Ceramco in the Whitbread Round The World Race, and later on another couple of laps of the planet with Sir Peter Blake on Steinlager 2 and ENZA.

Don is now enjoying rediscovering the Hauraki Gulf aboard the family Marauder and some two-handed racing with Dad (Alan Wright - the boat’s designer).

Don is an experienced rigger, having spent the last two years with Hallspars NZ. He has also been racing, delivering and maintaining various craft from Mini to Maxi Yachts around the world.

He steps into the role of PVC Production Supervisor at Southern Pacific Inflatables, New Zealand’s biggest manufacturer of inflatable boats.

Southern Pacific Inflatables is a division of Kiwi Yachting Consultants, a New Zealand company that has been providing the marine industry with quality products since 1988. Located in Kumeu, west of Auckland, Southern Pacific Inflatables is proud to be a New Zealand based manufacturer supplying products that are recognised internationally for outstanding design and workmanship.

Southern Pacific Inflatables manufactures both production and customised boats to meet all customer requirements. It uses materials of the highest quality with PVC from Mehlr and the Orca fabric from Pennel and Filipo.
