China Yachting Conference lines up the speakers

Organisers of the forthcoming China Yachting Conference, to be held in conjunction with Yacht CN, Nansha Marina's boat show, are delighted to announce two more confirmed speakers for CYC.

Speaker: Yang Xinfa, Chairman of China Boat Industry & Trade Association (CBITA), China.
Topic: Chinese Yacht Manufacturing Overview


Yang Xinfa is a graduate of Shanghai Jiao Tong University with more than 46 years of work experience in boat design and manufacturing, enterprise management and technology planning. From 1985 to 2000 he was both Vice-Chairman and Secretary General of the Shanghai Association of Shipbuilding Industry (SASIC). Since 2000 till now Yang has been Vice Secretary General of the China Association of National Shipbuilding Industries as well as Chairman of the China Boat Industry and Trade Association.

In 1996 Yang was one of the founders of the China (Shanghai) International Boat Show. Yang also organised a High Performance Marina Vechicles Conference (HPMV) in association with RINA (Royal Institute of Naval Architects) and the China International Yacht Economy and Sight Water System Development Forum. He is the author of a number of research papers and reports. Yang is also a participant in the drafting of the ninth, 10th, 11th and 12th 5-Year plans for the shipbuilding industry. Speaker: Peter Jansen, Hon Sec, International Marinas Group (IMG)
Topic: The Essentials of Marina Masterplanning


Bio: Peter studied Architecture at the Technical University RWTH in Germany until 1991, after which he started working at INPRO Project-Development Inc., specialising in the development of marinas and waterfront resorts. In 1992 he went to work with A. Möhring, Düsseldorf, where he became Manager of the Planning Department with further focus on marinas.

In 1995 he established Jansen Architects, Architecture and Urban Development, which today operates as Jansen Project Consulting. In 2001 he gained a PhD with the topic 'Elements of planning regarding settlements and buildings at inland waters, special subject to boat sport oriented river development'.
2002 a subsidiary company, Urban Aqua, was established to examine water sport concepts and facility programmes, waterfront developments and master planning, finance analysis of marinas, water sport centres and ocean parks.

Jansen is member of the German Marine Federation and the German Harbour Technical Society, secretary of ICOMIA, a member of the Recreational Committee of PIANC. He is an accredited expert for 'Blue Star Certification' from IMCI International Certification Institute for Marinas.
