The Coast Guard Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to the education and welfare of all Coast Guard members and their families, announced today its newest member and Regional Director of Philanthropy, Karla Baldelli. A highly successful fundraising professional specializing in major gifts, coordinated individual giving campaigns, foundation cultivation, and the development of stewardship campaigns for major donors, Karla is based in Dallas, Texas and will cover this important area of the country for the Coast Guard Foundation starting in early June.

Most recently, Baldelli led a team for the Arthritis Foundation focused on furthering the organization’s major, planned giving and events programs in Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma. Prior to the Arthritis Foundation, Baldelli’s professional experience includes philanthropy development positions with the American Heart Association, the Salvation Army and Susan G. Komen for the Cure, as well as a wide variety of non-profit volunteer leadership roles, including Grace Academy Board, Dallas Lutheran School Board, Parish Episcopal School Parent Board, American Diabetes Association Board, Junior League of Richardson Board, Lovers Lane United Methodist Church Administrative Board and the Center for Nonprofit Management.

'We are excited to welcome Karla Baldelli to the Coast Guard Foundation,' said Anne Brengle, president, Coast Guard Foundation. 'Her extensive experience with large philanthropic organizations and her relationships and familiarity with the area will benefit the Foundation as she develops this key region. We are glad to have her on our team.'

For over 40 years, the Coast Guard Foundation has been committed to inspiring leadership, learning and a proud legacy of service to our nation by supporting the men of women of the United States Coast Guard.
