29er North American Open Championship - Qualifying series wraps up

The second day of the 29er North American Open brought another day of sun and a six knot breeze. Both the yellow and blue fleets completed another three races to wrap up the qualifying series.

Marte and Carla Munto from Spain is leading the fleet ahead of Australias Kurt Hansen and Harry Morton. Top Canadian boat Ryan Wood and Andrew Wood from West Vancouver is third. Top US boat, Max Brill and Zach Malcolm from San Diego are in fifth place overall.

The final series will begin tomorrow, in which the top 25 boats of the qualifying series will race as the gold fleet and the following 44 boats as the silver fleet. The final series will continue Thursday.

Following this event is the 29er World Championship, July 26th to August 2nd.
