SECUMAR appoint new sales director

by Anne Finck on 10 Jul 2014
Welcome to the team: sales director Volker Lamp (middle) with company directors Jan-Ulrich (left) and Benjamin Bernhardt. - New Sales Director at SECUMAR SECUMAR
There’s a fresh wind at SECUMAR with the appointment of Volker Lamp as the new sales director for the entire product range of life saving equipment from Bernhardt Apparatebau, trading under the world renowned name of SECUMAR. The 36 year-old MBA graduate will be responsible for all sales of lifejackets for sport, leisure, commercial and industrial markets as well as giving a fresh push into state institutions.

This isn’t all new territory for Hamburg born Lamp. In the last nine years he was with ISTEC AG, a supplier of innovative solutions in sail technology, as business manager and director and SECUMAR’S stated policy of innovation and best practice fits well with the appointment of Volker Lamp to help maintain that ‘step ahead’.

'Overall SECUMAR stands for the very best in reliance and dependability and I’m glad to be taking on the responsibility for this great company,' adds Volker Lamp as he joins the existing committed team. In total the company employs around 120 people with an annual turnover of double-digit million euros.

CEO Benjamin Bernhardt remarked: 'We’re very happy that we’ve found in Mr. Lamp a truly motivated colleague to take on this responsible position in this not unproblematic market that he knows so well.'

If anyone would like to meet Volker Lamp outside the business, you can always find him locally testing the products on a sailing boat!

Bernhardt Apparatebau GmbH & Co has for decades stood for innovative products and with constant development and the highest quality assurance has become a world leader in the area of life saving and associated equipment.
