Registration is now open for LSSA 2014

Registration is now open on the Oakville Yacht Squadron web-site for the LSSA 2014 Training day and 118th LSSA Regatta.

1. The LSSA 2014 Training Day (Fri June 27 8:30 - 4:30 am) $40.00 per sailor (includes lunch) with Coach Thomas Fogh at Oakville Yacht Squadron, and.

2. The 118th LSSA Regatta - Sat June 28 and Sun. June 29th.

Registration for both events is available at the link above.

Please note the Early Bird deadline for lower LSSA 2014 Regatta Registration Fee is this Fri. June 20th at 24:00 hours.

We look forward to seeing all ages of dinghy sailors at LSSA 2014.

We encourage all dinghy sailors to sign-up for Thomas Fogh’s coaching clinic at the LSSA Training Day on Fri June 27th, 2014. Cost is $40.00 per sailor (includes lunch). Arrival 8:30 am to 4:30 pm pick-up. A lot of new and rusty dinghy sailors usually attend this event to ensure their skills and rules are improved and updated prior to sailing the LSSA Regatta.

470 Europeans at Cannes Day 1
Japan's Keiju Okada and Miho Yoshioka take the early lead Three races were held on the first day of the International 470 Class European Championship in Cannes, France. The day started off with very light winds, slowly building as clouds built over the race course. All in all, three races were held.

America's Cup: American Magic splash and sail
American Magic sailed Tuesday revealing an interesting deck layout including aft facing cyclors American Magic rolled out their new AC75 at 5.45am on Tuesday, with the first set of slightly asymmetric race foils, rudder and rig all in place and revealing an interesting deck layout putting the helms and trimmers side by side and well forward.
