Probably one of the richest and most exotic sailing clubs in the world, the Monaco Yacht Club was founded in 1953 by Prince Rainier and chaired since 1984 by HSH Prince Albert II. The Club, 'Yacht Club de Monaco (YMC)', has 1200 members spread over 60 nationalities. Gathering the most prestigious private yachts in the world, the YCM really does occupy a unique place in the world of international yachting.

This week the Club has provided a new setting, in the form of a new Club House signed by the firm of Lord Norman Foster. An ambitious and symbolic project, it will be a great showcase, a symbol of 21st Century Monaco.
