Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show 2014 Albert Sedlmayer
At the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show 2014 seasoned naval architect will officially launch world’s largest sailing catamaran design to the market.

Recently launched to the superyacht industry for the first time, and set to forever change the landscape of the large catamaran industry, the of official design unveiling of Spectrum 52 is to take place at the upcoming Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS). Founder and naval architect Albert Sedlmayer will be on hand in the Superyacht Pavilion, stand 315 to discuss the benefits of the design with media and show visitors.

With more than 40 years experience in naval architecture and yacht design, Sedlmayer’s newest design will equally impress the most discerning superyacht owner, seasoned catamaran skipper as well as guests of the highest calibre.

The 52 metre giant – which will easily be the biggest sailing catamaran in the world when built – does not compromise sheer size for any form of luxury. Fully engineered by Albert himself with all structural and logistics challenges resolved, Spectrum 52 will unquestionably be as majestic on water as it is on paper.

Efficient, long range travel is augmented by the slick, low resistant hulls, powered by1700 square metres of push-button-controlled sails, or dual MTU 16V 2000 M84 1,630 KW engines, of which either power source is capable of producing 20 knots in favourable conditions.

A wide beam – 22.2 metres – allows for maximum living space and unparalleled comfort. A well-qualified crew will live in private, comfortable and self-contained quarters, able to operate and maintain the ship discretely to ensure maximum privacy of owners and guests.

The four spacious guest suites with king size double beds and en suites are located off the centre hall and are the picture of luxury. Timber inlays and leather and wood ceilings gloriously furnish the softly lit and virtually soundproof spaces. The lavish owner’s suite offers a private and peaceful sanctuary, complete with studio, bedroom, en suite, private deck, private cinema screen, and panoramic-view lounge.

An indoor gym sits forward of the guest suites, to port, while a boardroom to starboard is fully equipped to brainstorm new business ideas and to keep well in touch with the home company via video-conferencing, while getting invigorated with cruising, sailing and watersport. A library, exceptional beach clubs and impeccable design are just some of the multitude of features which complete the Event website
