La quatrième aura été la bonne ! Deuxième en 2011, quatrième en 2012 et 2013, Alain Gautier a remporté samedi la septième édition du Tour de Belle-Ile, bouclant le « Petit Tour » (39 milles au lieu des 42 du tour complet) en 2 heures 9 minutes et 9 secondes.

Dans des conditions de vent soutenues (sud-ouest de 20-25 nœuds) et après un passage de front dans la matinée qui a conduit les organisateurs à différer le départ, finalement donné à 11h18 au moment où des premiers rayons de soleil faisaient leur apparition en Baie de Quiberon, le trimaran Orma Sensation Ocean a très vite pris la poudre d'escampette, filant, un ris dans la grand-voile, tribord amure vers le phare de la Teignouse, talonné par le Multi50 Actual. Trois virements de bord et à peine une heure plus tard, Sensation Océan enroulait la marque des Poulains direction la pointe des Galères pour un bord de reaching à 30-35 noeuds, avant un retour express, via la Teignouse où il a croisé une partie de la flotte des monocoques, vers la ligne, franchie à 13h27'09 » devant Actual (Yves Le Blévec), arrivé à 13h36'24?.
