You can now purchase a copy of the new digital version of the RYA Racing Rules Explained 2013-2016 eBook, replacing the 2009-2012 print version. The publication formerly available in paperback has now been transformed in to an interactive digital product, making it simpler for the reader to use.

'The new digital version of the RYA Racing Rules Explained 2013-2016 is really suited to both the requirements of the reader and the purpose of the book. We hope it will be seen as an invaluable reference which sailors can dip into when they need clarification on a particular rule', explains Tom Parker, RYA e-Content Specialist.

The ease of navigation provided by the new eBook format is ideal as it saves flicking back and forth from different pages to the index. The tools available within the RYA Books app also enable readers to easily search the text, or annotate their own edition to make it even more relevant to their particular needs.

New features for the RYA Racing Rules Explained 2013-2016 eBook include:

• Extensive additions and amendments to take into account the latest case updates
• Expanded contents complete with hyperlinks to greatly simplify navigation between sections from anywhere in the book
• Ability to add bookmarks so you can easily access the pages most relevant to you
• Notes tool which enables you to add your own comments wherever you want
• Search tool to help you find specific terms even more quickly
• Comprehensive hyperlinked index for every rule and case wherever they appear in the book

'The RYA Racing Rules Explained eBook acts as a great companion to the existing RYA Racing Rules and Cases edition, which has proved especially popular since its launch as an eBook, with its ability to cross-check each rule with relevant cases at the touch of a button.

'We hope that sailors will find it especially useful to be able to access both editions from their tablet or even their smartphone without needing to have both books to hand at the same time,' Tom added.

The RYA Racing Rules Explained eBook is perfect for competitors, race officials and anyone who wishes to increase their knowledge of the racing rules. It is comprehensive, with seven sections that contain rules for every competitor from the fundamentals and conduct of a race, to race organisation and protests, redress hearings, misconduct and appeals.

RYA Racing Rules Explained 2013-2016 is written by Trevor Lewis, RYA Racing Committee Chairman, ISAF International Judge and an acknowledged rules expert.
