Getting down to business before medal races at ISAF Sailing World Cup

ISAF Sailing World Cup Hyères 2014 - The penultimate day of racing at ISAF Sailing World Cup Hyères is a key one with the Medal Race places decided across the ten Olympic events.

Racing in the 2.4mR and Sonar reaches the end zone as the action draws to a conclusion.

Anything is impossible in the Paralympic events with any one of leading three in the 2.4mR and any of the top four in the Sonar in with a shout of taking gold.

Around the boat parks in Hyères there are contrasting reports.

There will either be a serious lack of breeze or the light variable morning east north easterly at 5-8 knots will veer to the east at 10-14 knots. It will move to a south eastern direction in the afternoon easing throughout the day.

Either way the day will decide the Paralympic and Medal Race places.

Tracking of the fleets resumes on the fourth day of racing in 2D and 3D and is available to view on the ISAF website.

Racing is scheduled to commence at 11:00 local time as gold fleet racing enters the second day. The schedule for the day is as follows:

Men’s RS:X Gold – 11:00 – Three races
Men’s RS:X Silver – 11:10 – Three races
Women’s RS:X – 11:20 – Three races
Men’s 470 Gold – 11:00 – Two races
Men’s 470 Silver – 11:10 – Two races
Women’s 470 – 11:20 – Two races
Finn – 11:00 – Two races
Laser Gold – 11:00 – Two races
Laser Silver – 13:30 – Three races
Laser Radial Gold – 11:10 – Two races
Laser Radial Silver – 13:40 – Two races
