Indec Merit leads Melbourne to Hobart

by courtesy Ocean Racing Club of Victoria on 28 Dec 2003 At the 0635 Hobart Sked Indec Merit had maintained her lead, position just south of Black Pyramid at the NW tip of Tasmania.

Prowler was second, 15nm behind and closer in to Hunter Island, followed by No Fear, Tevake, Outlaw and Addiction. Further back, about 25nm north of Three Hummocks, are Yoko, Under Capricorn, Wavelength, Amaya, Force 11 and Magazan 53 with Babe about 10nm to the east. Five nautical miles beyond that group were VDO Ruthless, Boots and Rum Beat, then 15nm to Island Trader.

Alstar, cruising in company, was near Addiction. Yoko reported SW to S wind, 15 to 20 knots.
