Surfer und 49erFX-Frauen erwischen guten Tag

Am zweiten Tag des ISAF Sailing World Cup vor Palma de Mallorca (31. März bis 05. April 2014) mussten die Seglerinnen und Segler des Audi Sailing Team Germany wieder lange auf Wind warten. Einen guten Tag erwischten die Surfer Moana Delle und Toni Wilhelm, aber auch im 470er und bei den Skiffs wurde Boden gut gemacht. Für das beste Tagesergebnis – wie gestern im 49erFX – sorgen Victoria Jurczok und Anika Lorenz auf dem dritten Platz.

Für die Olympiasurfer von 2012 läuft es auch vor Mallorca wieder rund: Toni Wilhelm machte mit zwei Top-Ergebnissen fünf Plätze gut und liegt nach insgesamt fünf Rennen auf dem fünften Rang. Seine ASTG-Kollegin Moana Delle siegte in einem der zwei Tagesrennen und verbesserte sich auf den siebten Platz.

Ebenfalls mit einem Rennsieg kamen Victoria Jurczok und Anika Lorenz zurück in den Hafen und schoben sich auf den Bronzerang vor. Die Führenden von gestern, Ann-Kristin und Pia Sophie Wedemeyer, sind nach dem zweiten Tag Siebte.

Nach dem eher durchwachsenen ersten Tag für die 470er Frauen und Männer machten zwei deutsche Teams im Gesamtklassement einen gewaltigen Sprung nach vorne: Nadine Böhm und Ann-Christin Goliaß gewannen ihr erstes Tagesrennen und belegen nach vier Rennen den zehnten Platz. Ebenso nach oben Richtung Top Ten ging es für Ferdinand Gerz und Oliver Szymanski, die jetzt 13. sind.
