Fêtera les 50 ans de la victoire d’Eric Tabarly sur Pen Duick II

Lorient fêtera les 50 ans de la victoire d’Eric Tabarly sur Pen Duick II lors de la Transat anglaise de 1964, un véritable tournant dans le Monde de la Voile et de la course au large. Cet événement est organisé par Lorient Agglomération en collaboration avec l’association Eric Tabarly et la Cité de la Voile Eric Tabarly.

Cette commémoration se déroulera au cœur de l’ancienne Base de sous-marins devant la Cité de la Voile Eric Tabarly à Lorient. Cette journée inaugurera également l’exposition grand format dédiée à la première victoire en solitaire du célèbre marin français !

Dimanche 18 mai / A terre et en Mer pour fêter ce marin d’exception !

Cette manifestation promet un programme haut en couleur : la projection de films sur la victoire de 1964 et la vie d’Eric Tabarly, le rassemblement maritime de cinq des Pen Duick entre Groix et Lorient, sans oublier le survol de la flotte par un Atlantique II de la base aéronavale de Lann-Bihoué, tout cela commenté par le fameux Serge Herbin et diffusé en simultané sur grand écran au public devant la Cité de la Voile.

Le clou du spectacle verra une arrivée triomphale des Pen Duick dans le port de la Base de sous-marins, un mur d’eau accueillera la flotte au son du bagad de Lann-Bihoué, telle une révérence à ce marin de légende.

De nombreuses animations seront également au rendez-vous pour petits et grands. Les visiteurs profiteront de cette occasion rare, de voir et d’approcher les 5 Pen Duick, ces bateaux d’exception qui seront amarrés aux pontons de la Cité de la Voile Eric Tabarly!
