Sail Norway and Russia this summer - your own boat, or charter

Last week we told of a sailing voyage from Moscow to the White Sea - or reverse. Now here's an opportunity to sail with experienced sailors from Norway to the White Sea in Russia to join up with the previous itinerary.
Why the sudden interest in Russia? If you've been reading Sail-World you'll know that Russia has recently relaxed rules for visiting yachts, and with the weather getting warmer each year, interest in sailing high latitudes is at an all-time high.
Here is a month-long voyage in July/August, just when the weather is at its best, put together by a group of Russian sailors anxious to popularise sailing in Russia and welcome you to their country.
It's a month long adventure, and you can either join one of their charter boats, which they have chartered from Boreal Yachting, or go along as a guest boat, taking your own.
The route is Bodo, Svolvaer, Tromso, Hammerfest, Honningsvog, Vardo, Kirkenes, Murmansk, Arkhangelsk, Solovki and back, with other minor stops in between.
Along the way, not only will you experience the grand sights of Arctic sailing, but there is a comprehensive land itinerary component, visiting everything from monasteries to carving workshops to Maritime Museums, and participating in music and folk festivals that take place in the short northern summer.
