by Joshua Chant on 4 Mar 2014
Ellis Sailing Team in Action at Hardy Cup. Joshua Chant
While 33 South Racing (33SR) is a commercial team, we are very committed to creating opportunities for Australian sailors by providing mentoring and coaching. As such we have selected four sailors to be recipients of our inaugural scholarship.

The 33SS will run for 12 months from March 1st providing monthly mentoring sessions covering coaching, marketing, campaigning, sponsorship seeking, team building and psychology to name a few.

We are delighted to announce the initial recipients of 33SS are Ellis Sailing Team, made up of Sam Ellis, Zac Molin and Vardon Robson. They are a newly formed match racing team out of Gosford Sailing Club. Follow them on Facebook here.

Oskar Hansen: One of the keenest and most determined young laser sailors we’ve yet to come across. Oskar recently started a bet with 33SR founder, Joshua Chant to see who can sail more times throughout 2014. In two short months Oskar has already passed the 50 mark, leaving Josh well in his wake!

You can check out more detailed profiles of all Scholarship Holders on our team page.

Check out our website to stay up to date on 33SS and for info on when we’ll next be taking on more scholarship holders.
