Held just prior to Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, ASMEX has gathered some of the world's most influential heads of companies, analysts and advisers for this excellent two-day event, 20 and 21 May on Queensland's Gold Coast.

Our congratulations to a very weary Andrew Abrahams, the inspirational rower who crossed the finish line Friday 31 January, after a 5556 kilometre row across the Atlantic from Africa to the West Indies, alone in his little wooden boat as part of the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge. He was first in the solo class and only just behind the third-placed pairs boat Nordic Endurance.

Andrew has been a favourite at Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show for the past few years, always going his hardest for a record, to raise funds and show the crowds the mettle of this true-blue Aussie.
In SCIBS news, sailing yachts will be one of the biggest drawcards to this year's event, 22-25 May, as Baby Boomers, semi-retired and families seek solace on the water and the tranquility, challenge and camaraderie sailing offers.
There's plenty on offer in the way of prizes and incentives for this year's Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show, at the ASB Showgrounds in Auckland, 15 to 18 May.
