One lucky visitor to the 2014 Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show (at the ASB Showgrounds in Greenlane Auckland on May 15-18) will win a brand new Stabicraft/Yamaha Grand Prize Package worth more than $100,000!

'This is a truly fantastic prize and is sure to be a real draw card for the 2014 show,' says Dave Gibbs, general manager of the Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show.

'Thanks to Stabicraft Marine and Yamaha Motor NZ Ltd, we will, next May, present one lucky visitor to the show with the keys to a brand new model Stabicraft 2050 Supercab, powered by a fantastic Yamaha 150hp outboard and fitted with an incredible array of electronics, safety gear and insurance.'

Dave Gibbs says that being in the draw to win the $100,000-plus Stabicraft/Yamaha Grand Prize Package is also very easy.

'All people have to do is come to New Zealand’s largest and most popular boat show, buy an entry ticket, get it stamped at all the clearly-marked stamping booths, answer a simple question and fill in their contact details.

'Then all they have to do is hope that their ticket is the first one drawn on Sunday, May 18, just after the 2014 Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show closes.'

The 2014 Stabicraft/Yamaha Grand Prize Package is based around Stabicraft’s new 2050 Supercab, a keel-up redesign of one of the company’s most popular models.

'With a longer hull, more ergonomic cabin, Stabicraft’s innovative Game Chaser Transom and Arrow Pontoons, the 2050 Supercab is both more agile and even more fishing-focused than her predecessor,' says Stabicraft sales manager Sean McColl.

'For years, the 2050 has been one of New Zealand’s favourite models so doing a complete redesign has been a very exciting challenge.

'We listened to what people really wanted in a boat of this size and firmly focused on that. As a result, we have included an extra-large, centrally-mounted live bait well, a quality Maxwell winch and a single piece toughened glass screen.

'Combine that with Stabicraft’s famous ‘life-ring’ pontoon design, our sturdy marine grade alloy construction and those innovative pontoon and hull changes and the new 2050 Supercab is a super-safe family fishing boat that is durable, stable and spacious — and is also virtually unsinkable and light and easy to tow.'

Powering the 2014 Stabicraft/Yamaha Grand Prize Package is one of New Zealand’s most popular and best-loved outboards, the Yamaha F150 four-stroke.

'The F150 is a truly legendary outboard,' says Yamaha Motor NZ Ltd’s Greg Fenwick. 'It is one of the world’s very best and biggest-selling 4-stroke outboards. Its lightweight, flawless performance and outstanding fuel economy make it the perfect match for the new 2050.

'The F150’s four independent throttle valves, four injectors and Yamaha's DOHC Double Overhead Cam direct-action technology (complete with 16 valves) combine brilliantly to provide ultra-smooth, spine-tingling power and acceleration right throughout the rev range.

'The F150 is also one of the quietest and cleanest outboards on the market and the winner of this great prize package is going to absolutely love its fantastic fuel economy.

'Yamaha has been New Zealanders’ first choice of outboards for more than two decades and the F150 is one of our very best-selling and most popular outboards.'

Completing the 2014 Stabicraft/Yamaha Grand Prize Package are a quality DMW trailer, a Furuno GP1870F GPS, sounder/plotter combo with P66 transom transducer, an Oceanus-D VHF radio, Fusion IP600 head unit (complete with Bluetooth module and marine speakers), a Hutchwilco safety package consisting of four Mariner lifejackets and a flare pack, and a year’s insurance from Club Marine.
