In the final of the Dubai Duty Free Speed Cat Run at DIMC Mina Seyahi, Arif Al Zaffain and Nadir bin Hendi claimed their second victory of the day by defeating Spirit of Dubai.

Earlier in the day the Fazza duo, who are aiming to seal the Series win at the final round of the UIM Skydive Dubai XCAT World Series here, also claimed victory in the race for Emaar Pole Position meaning they’ll be top of the table at the start tomorrow.

Al Zaffain and Bin Hendi defeated Six (Tomaso Polli and Matteo Nicolini) in the first round of the Speed Cat proceedings this afternoon before getting the better of the Qatar Team (Mohammed Al Nasr and Abdulrahman Al Nasser) in the second round.

They then knocked out Team Westerlund Racing (Joakim Kumlin and Daniel Svenson who eventually finished in fourth spot) before coming up against Rashid Al Marri and Ahmad Hassan in the final.

'We are very happy to have won both the pole position and the speed cat run today. I made a plan with my team and my friend Nadir is back with me in the boat which helps as we have the same mentality,' said Al Zaffain afterwards.

'Also it’s great to race back in Dubai where all the people are supporting us and urging us to give more and more.
'We are very confident for tomorrow. We’ll push hard from the start. We have to finish the race first and win the Championship,' he added.

XCAT action continues tomorrow with a final Official Practice at 11.30am with the Dubai GP getting underway at 2.30pm. Entry is free for the general XCat Racing website
