Canadian Sailing Team - Winter training session concludes in Florida

Martin Robitaille - Clearwater Canadian Sailing Team
For the Canadian Finn squad the second winter training session has concluded in Florida. Marty Robitaille, Jeff Roney and Rob Hemming enjoyed some great Clearwater conditions.
Training consisted of two 20 mile downwind sessions and three 'regular sessions' where the group worked on confidence in big breeze. The issue with downwind in Clearwater is the water is 17 feet deep and a finn mast 18 feet. This means that capsizing can potentially end on the expensive side. Fortunately for the group all equipment made it though the week intact.
December kicked off with radial sailors Ingrid and Claire Merry in sunny Florida working with coach Chris Cook. The rest of the radial team will be arriving next week!
Next event for the full Canadian Sailing Team is the ISAF World Cup
