Mont Clair and Royal Varuna Yacht Club host beach party

Mont Clair joined Royal Varuna Yacht Club to host a large beach party for the 27th Phuket King’s Cup Regatta at Kata Beach Resort & Spa. Complimentary Mont Clair South African wine was available for the enjoyment of guests, sailors, spectators, VIP attendees, media guests and sponsors as they relaxed and partied to live music next to the soothing sounds of the gently breaking Andaman Sea. The total number of guests was estimated to be over 1,200 people, many of whom danced the night away until late following the successful end of racing on Regatta day four.

Mont Clair has been a dedicated supporter of the Phuket King’s Cup Regatta since 2008, and uses this unique platform to grow the reputation and awareness of its imported South African wines in Phuket and internationally.
This occasion also served as a ‘thank you’ party to pay respects to the kind support of the Royal Varuna Yacht Club, which has supported the Phuket King's Cup Regatta over its 27-year history.


About the Phuket King's Cup Regatta – Asia’s legendary yacht race under Royal Patronage
Inaugurated in 1987 to celebrate the 60th birthday of His Majesty the King of Thailand, the event has been held every year since, during the first week of December.

Under Royal Patronage, the Phuket King's Cup Regatta is organized by the Phuket King's Cup Regatta Organizing Committee under the auspices of the Royal Varuna Yacht Club, in conjunction with the Yacht Racing Association of Thailand, the Royal Thai Navy and the Province of Phuket.

The Phuket King’s Cup Regatta will be held from November 29 to 6 December, 2013. Sponsors of the 2013 Phuket King's Cup Regatta include Kata Group Resorts Thailand, PTT Global Chemical, Land Rover, Jaguar, Mont Clair, Singha Corporation, Sansiri PLC, Haadthip PLC, TAT, and Sunsail. Can bad weather actually lead to more sailing? There's been no getting away from the fact that it's been a pretty miserable start to 2024 weather-wise in the UK. February saw record rainfall (yes, I know we're famed for our rain over here), it's been seriously windy and generally chilly.
