King’s Cup sail pass honours his Majesty the King’s 86th birthday

Sailpass Phuket King’s Cup Regatta 3 Guy Nowell
The Phuket King’s Cup Regatta 2013 fleet took part in a beautifully orchestrated sail pass before the start of the fourth day of racing. Royal Thai Navy yachts lead the procession of Regatta boats as they sailed past large Navy ships. Sailors and Royal Thai Navy personnel saluted an image of His Majesty the King of Thailand on the glorious occasion of his 86th birthday. There was a gun salute as thousands of international and Thai sailors, media and members of the public gathered to watch the beautiful scenes and see the procession.

The fleet of the 2013 Phuket King’s Cup Regatta comprises one of the largest gatherings of keelboats in the competition’s history; 106 racing keelboats, in addition to dinghies and windsurfs which make up the remainder of this impressively large fleet of craft.

A lesson in staying cool, calm, and collected
Staying cool, calm, and collected on the 2024 Blakely Rock Benefit Race The table was set for a feast: a 12-14 knot northerly combed Puget Sound, accompanied by blue skies and sunshine. But an hour before of our start for the Blakely Rock Benefit Race, DC power stopped flowing from the boat's lithium-ion batteries.

No result without resolve
Normally, when you think of the triple it might be Line Honours, Corrected Time, and Race Record Normally, when you think of the triple it might be Line Honours, Corrected Time, and Race Record. So then, how about sail it, sponsor it, and truly support it? his was the notion that arrived as I pondered the recently completed Sail Port Stephens.

Olympic qualifications and athlete selection
Country qualifications and athlete selection ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympics In January, I wrote about 2024 being a year with an embarrassment of sailing riches. Last week's Trofea S.A.R.
