B&G on search for new managing director

by IBI Magazine on 27 Nov 2003 B&G has told IBI that it is to begin a search for a new managing director to lead B&G in its next phase of development within the Simrad Group.

B&G was acquired by Simrad in October.

Tony Burch, B&G's current mananging director, appointed in March to oversee the interim managment of the company, will head up the search.

Jan Berner, Simad's president, confirmed at the METS press conference that B&G would be run as a separate company and is keen to get a permanent MD in position at B&G.

Tony Burch said: 'I have enjoyed my time at B&G and have been delighted with how staff and customers have responded to the challenges of the turnaround and sale process. The Company now needs a permanent MD with a good knowledge of B&G's market. I was hired as an interim manager and when we've found the right MD, it will be time for me to move on.'
