Barrie Beehag Water Ski Race is finally here!

The Barrie Beehag Water Ski Race is finally here! With the first boat taking off at 10am Saturday morning, we are hoping this warmer weather keeps up. Competitors will race from Deep Creek Marina to Torrumbarry Weir and back as a memorial race for Barrie Beehag. Barrie a founding member of the Moama Water Sports Club, also a life member, sadly passed away from cancer in 2006.
To give back to the community, all funds raised are donated to Echuca Regional Health, in the Oncology Department. Food and Drinks will be available at the start/finish area and at Torrumbarry Boat Ramp during the turnaround.
Merchandise, face painting, jumping castle and a great shady area to watch the racing will be at Deep Creek Marina for spectators and teams, along with the Southern Waters Ski Show team for half time entertainment. Entry is $2 per person or $5 per family. Official race programs will be available for $5. Briefing for competitors will be at the top of the boat ramp – Deep Creek Marina from 7:00am.
Presentation will be held later on that afternoon at Deep Creek Marina, be sure to had down there to catch all the action. Good luck and safe racing to all competitors!
