An in-depth look – Zerek Live Cherabin + Video

by Jarrod Day on 3 Nov 2013
Zerek's Cherabin in all its glory. Jarrod Day
There comes a time in an angler’s life when enough is just not enough. Each year, new and innovative lures are released keeping us crazy tackle rats on the edges of our seats.

Soft plastic lures have been around for donkey’s and while the old 'bucket o bait' may have been the backbone for such a fishing revolution, soft plastics have certainly come of age in today’s standards.

It was back in 2008 that the ZEREK brand was conceived by a group of lure enthusiasts, professional anglers as well as a product development team. With over a year of research and development with the various groups, ZEREK is finally ready to take the luring world by storm and boy it is.

Every angler’s fantasy is to have a perfect lure for every fishing situation and by collecting precious feedback from anglers and testers; they have designed and developed a range of ultimate fishing lures that is now known as ZEREK.
With continuous effort and development, ZEREK strives to achieve the perfect lure for every angler.

Zerek’s latest release is the 6' Live Cherabin and when it comes to soft plastics, nothing looks and swims more lifelike than this particular soft plastic.

The Live Cherabin is a new model based on the already successful Live Shrimp which was designed for straight retrieve very close to the bottom. Live Cherabin is also constructed using a special rubber material featuring soft vibrating legs and feelers.

The flexible abdomen of the Live Cherabin performs like a live-liked shrimp. Twitching the Live Cherabin will mimic a fleeing shrimp; pauses will let it sink head first to the bottom again triggering strikes.

The Live Cherabin, though tough in construction incorporates a segmented tail which is held together with the use of a tear resistant kevlar. The kevlar, being flexible gives the Live Cherabin its lifelife swimming appeal in which fish can’t resist.

What’s more, is that the body of the Cherabin reacts to UV light. This in itself is unique as recent studies have shown that fish hunt with the ability to see UV. The UV causes the 'bait' to glow with the sun’s UV rays and makes the bait much more appealing.

If you’re looking for an advantage over the next fish you target, grab a Live Cherabin and get hooked up.
