Come and join us at the London Boat Show 2014 (04 – 12 January 2014) on stand A152. As always we’ll be on hand to offer up advice and info throughout the show; whether you’re new to the sport, want a new challenge or need some advice.

In a move to better engage with members of all ages and abilities, we’ve made some exciting changes to the RYA’s presence at the show.

This year the stand will include a small hospitality area giving members and visitors alike the opportunity to interact with RYA staff in a comfortable hospitable environment whilst gaining advice and seeking answers to their questions or finding out about the latest RYA products and services.

We will be unveiling our video wall showcasing the work of the RYA and the sports we govern from motor and yacht cruising, to windsurfing and dinghy racing, personal watercraft and many more. Learn more about the RYA in the ‘Did you know’ videos or simply enjoy some fantastic footage of the sports we love.

You’ll also have the opportunity to pick up one of the many iPads on the stand and take time viewing the great range of RYA eBooks that are available or trial an RYA eLearning course along with all the useful advice and information you need on finding a club, training centre or course; as well as details on how to get started or improve your skills.

We hope that this move will help us better engage with existing and prospective new members and allow better interaction between the RYA, our members and all visitors to the show.

And don’t forget, if you want to find some time to relax then visit the exclusive RYA members lounge (for RYA members and up to three non-member guests), situated in the Platinum Suite. Take a break from the hustle and bustle of the show for a drink, some lunch or simply catch up with old friends!

Members will also have access to a self-service cloakroom.

What’s in store?

As well as all the action on the stand there are a whole host of RYA events taking place throughout the show. We will be celebrating 40 years of the RYA Yachtmaster scheme, unveiling the Yachtmaster of the Year and launching the new RYA Safety Advisory Notice.

The Green Blue will officially launch the new e-version of The Green Guide to Marine Wildlife and we see the return of the RYA Active Marina Experience workshops. Find out more about the RYA Active Marina Experience here.

More details on all other events coming soon.

We are pleased to announce that after making a star appearance at the PSP Southampton Boat Show in September RYA Junior member mascot ‘Bob the Buoy’ will be popping along to the show over both weekends (4-5 and 11-12 January). Come along to stand or spot him around the show and say hello, pick up a sticker or have your photo taken with him.

We hope that you can join us at the show and if you are an RYA Member you can buy an ‘Any Day’ ticket in advance at the specially negotiated discounted price of £11* (£1.75 transaction fee applies per transaction when buying tickets in advance), saving you £5.00 off the price of an advance ‘Any Day’ ticket and £9.00 off the on the door price for an ‘Any Day’ ticket. Don't forget 'Kids Go Free' - up to two children aged 15 and under can enter free with each paying adult.

However, if you plan on visiting the show on either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday don’t forget to take advantage of the £10 weekday ticket offer available to all visitors.
