In Flinders’ Wake- The Flinders Deck Shoe from Burke Marine

by Burke Marine on 24 Oct 2013
The Flinders Deck Shoe Burke Marine
In the 1790s Captain Matthew Flinders tamed Bass Strait and the rugged coast of Van Diemen's Land. In 1803 he became the first European to circumnavigate and survey the great southern land. His nautical feats in Australian history are only rivalled by Captain James Cook. In honour of this great sailor and explorer, Burke Marine have released the new Flinders Leather Deck Shoe, equipping the modern day sea-adventurer with the latest in marine footwear technology.

Available in Tan or Navy, the Flinders is constructed from split-grain oiled leather providing a heritage finish and supple fit. The durable leather upper is hand sewn with polyester yarn and threading through brass eyelets are marine-grade leather laces made in USA. Its slip-resistant TPR compound sole is designed using drainage gutters to disperse water and help prevent aquaplaning.

RRP: $99.00 – Tan or Navy – Sizes EUR 40 - 47

Available from all leading marine stores.
