Sunsail has renewed its commitment to Australia's sailing holiday industry with the introduction of 14 new yachts to its Whitsunday charter fleet plus a promise to beat any matching or lower charter holiday price.

The major fleet upgrade confirms Sunsail's position as the country's premier sailing holiday company with the most modern yachts and catamarans available for charter.

The 14 new yachts and catamarans will arrive in the Whitsundays in mid December and will be available for charter for this summer sailing season.

To celebrate the arrival of the new yachts, Sunsail has released a special deal guaranteeing it will beat any similar Whitsunday charter holiday rate by five per cent.

The limited offer gives sailing enthusiasts the opportunity to save hundreds of dollars on their next Whitsunday getaway with the world's leading charter company. The offer is valid 8 April 2004 and some conditions apply.

Sunsail Director Greg Boller said the Price Beating Guarantee was a fantastic way to invite holidaymakers to experience the company's new fleet at the industry's most affordable rates.

‘Not only do we now have Australia's greatest range of new yachts available for charter but we are guaranteeing to offer the best rate as well,’ Mr Boller said.

Sunsail's fleet upgrade is a major part of the company's strategic plan to provide the country's best quality of service and range of products.

‘The charter industry has experienced some real challenges over this past two years,’ Mr Boller said.

‘We are proud to show that Sunsail has not only overcome any obstacles but has made a firm commitment to advancing the industry through the expansion of our Whitsunday fleet,’ he said.

The new fleet additions include two Gibsea 33s, three Jeanneau 35s, a Jeanneau 37, two Beneteau 423s, two Jeanneau 45s, a Beneteau 473, a Lagoon 380 catamaran and two Lagoon 410 catamarans.

The Lagoon catamarans are the first of their type in the Sunsail Australia fleet and are renowned throughout the industry as one of the world's premier charter vessels.

The new boats will bring Sunsail's total 2004 Whitsunday fleet to 28 yachts and catamarans, comprising 22 Premier Class yachts, which are all less than two years of age and in immaculate condition. The remaining six yachts are available for charter as part of the Classic Fleet, which are also in excellent condition and not more than five years old.

The fleet ranges in size from 32-50 feet, offering a perfect holiday option for groups of all sizes and budgets.

Sunsail is the world's leading sailing holiday company with bases in 19 countries worldwide offering bareboat and luxury crewed yacht charters, sailing schools, corporate sailing and WaterSports Beach Clubs.
