Petite Coupe des Class C - régates du jour annuléesà Falmouth

Le championnat du monde des Class C n’aura décidément pas offert des conditions clémentes aux équipages Hydros, représentant la Suisse dans cette compétition qui se positionne comme un laboratoire technologique. Ces derniers jours, un vent très léger a soufflé dans la baie de Falmouth, des conditions qui sourient aux bateaux moins high-tech que les suisses, conçus pour naviguer en mode archimédien.

Aujourd’hui, Eole s’est réveillée et souffle à 20 noeuds avec des pointes à 30 noeuds, le brouillard s’est levé et la mer est blanche d’écume. Le comité de course annule les régates du jour : demain samedi sera la dernière journée de la Petite Coupe des Class C.

L’équipage Hydros de SUI 1, Jérémie Lagarrigue et Billy Besson, affronte le fameux Franck Cammas en finale de la Petite Coupe et est mené 2-0 après les deux régates d’hier. Le deuxième équipage Hydros composé de Mischa Heemskerk et Bastiaan Tentij, à bord du Class C SUI 11, se bat pour la troisième marche du podium et pointait à la cinquième place du classement provisoire après les manches d'hier.

'L’équipe technique et les navigants n’ont pas arrêté ces derniers jours, nous sommes tous épuisés,' confie le navigateur et chef de projet Hydros Jérémie Lagarrigue. 'Je dois avouer que cette journée de pause forcée ne tombe pas si mal, bien que nous aurions tous aimé nous battre sur l’eau. Nous en profitons pour souffler un peu, nous reposer, nous préparer pour demain et commencer à évoquer la suite de la classe et les prochaines compétitions.'


Les deux équipages Hydros espèrent que les régates prévues demain seront maintenues, pour naviguer enfin dans de la brise soutenue. Alors que Jérémie et Billy espèrent remonter face à Franck Cammas, Mischa et Bastiaan comptent sur cette dernière journée pour monter sur le podium!
