If you are a multihull fan and anywhere within reach of La Rochelle, this could be for you. The Grand Pavois Boat Show, the 'one for real fans', at La Rochelle from 25th - 30th September, will present an area dedicated to multihulls.

The essential Atlantic rendezvous, the show will bring together thirty boats on Pontoon 10, with a number of new launches and world previews.

A market sector growing dramatically across the world, multihulls represent an important part of the market for the French, as well as the international, marine industry. Because of this, if many French boatyards will be present at La Rochelle, you can also count on the presence of Chinese, American, German, Swedish and Danish boatyards.

For the first time, and in its first world-wide presentation to the press and public, the Victoria 67 from Fountaine Pajot Catamarans will be on display. A long-awaited premiere!

Also to be seen: the star of the May Day Boat yard, none other than Bob Escoffier's future long-distance cruising catamaran.

Other new launches for 2013 are the new Lagoon 39 and 52; the Dash MKII from Corsair Marine, which is still developing the concept of the trimaran with folding beams; the Bandit 870, presented in its final version; the Cumberland 47 LC from Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts; the two Swedish Kiss 1 and 2 … not forgetting the Nautitech 442, which will be shown in two different versions.

The Grand Pavois, the essential meeting-place for lovers of multihulled boats.

Grabbing chances with both hands
Can bad weather actually lead to more sailing? There's been no getting away from the fact that it's been a pretty miserable start to 2024 weather-wise in the UK. February saw record rainfall (yes, I know we're famed for our rain over here), it's been seriously windy and generally chilly.
