New record set for Haystack Island race

A new race record of 21 hrs and 32 minutes was set by Gary Shank's Elliott 56, PALE ALE RAGER in the 200nm Haystack Island race this weekend.

The Haystack Island Race is the Sydney to Hobart qualifiing race for South Australia. The race was sailed in predominately 15-25 knots of ideal reaching and running conditions.
