Currently, teams are on the ground in Sardinia wading through the daunting tasks of boat and sail measurement, registration and weigh-in, all which is set to complete early next week, setting in motion five full days of championship racing just off of Italy's stunning 'Emerald Coast'.

Over the coming days, Melges 32 teams will not only enjoy racing within the splendor of Porto Rotondo's magical beauty and brilliance, they will also participate in fantastic parties, luncheons and dinners including a grand celebration of Roberto Tomasini Grinover's (Robertissima) birthday party on Monday, 16 September. A post IM32CA AGM lunch, sponsored by fleet newcomer Alessandro Rombelli's Azimut by STIG takes place on Tuesday, 17 September followed by an opening ceremony later that evening at YCPR. On Wednesday, 18 September the fleet will gather at beautiful YCCS for an elegant evening dinner party. A final YCPR gala dinner is planned later in the week on Saturday, 21 September. Sunday completes the event with the last round of racing, and an awards ceremony crowning the overall winner of the 2013 Audi Sailing Series, but also presenting the biggest trophy of all, that of World Champion.
