In November, the Brazilian Hobie Cat Championship regatta will be held at the Armação Beach, on the coast of the state of Sao Paulo.

The most accomplished Brazilian sailors in the Hobie Cat 14 and Hobie Cat 16 classes will compete for the title, including

Marcos Ferrari - third at the 2012 Hobie 16 North American Championships
Felipe Frey - fourth at the 2012 Hobie 16 North American Championships
Bernardo Arndt - Silver Medal - 2011 Pan Am Games, 2011 European Champion, 2010 South American Champion Claudio Cardoso - 1996 Open Hobie Cat 16 World Champion

The Brazilian Hobie Cat Class Association, with the support of the City of Ilha Bela and the BL3 Sailing School, who will host the championship, is expecting more than 60 boats on the starting line, which will be the largest fleet in the championship in recent years.

The Brasilian Hobie Cat Class Association has already received significant interest from international sailors, from neighbors in South America, the United States, and Europe. The organizers of the regatta, with the support of Hobie Cat Brazil, is working to make charter boats available for international sailors seeking to train for the World Championship in Australia in early 2014.

The championship will be highly competitive and, with a full social program, a great experience for families, friends, and anyone else who will be in Ilha Bela from the ninth to the sixteenth of November.

The Brasilian Hobie Class Association, the organizers, and sponsors of the regatta are looking forward to meeting all enthusiasts of the Hobie Way of Life in the beautiful waters of Ilha Bela in November! All are welcome!
