The third China (Macau) International Yacht Import & Export Fair will be open to the public from 1-3 November 2013.

After an inaugural event at Fisherman’s Wharf (2011) and an all-indoor event at the Venetian Cotai in 2012, this year’s Macau Boat Show, themed as 'Innovative Win-Win Cooperation', comes of age for the 2013 edition with an in-water display at the Macau (Green Island) Yacht Club, and a ‘dry’ show in Hall D, 3/F of the Venetian Cotai Expo – with a floor area of fully 20,000 sqm.

A representative of the event said that 'in order to promote Macau’s yacht tourism, trade and industrial development, as well as its infrastructure for yachts, the Macau government has given great attention to the development of the yacht industry, including the strengthening of exchanges and cooperation with Europe and China Pearl River Delta, Hainan, Fujian and other coastal provinces'.

Macau (Green Island) Yacht Club will be this year’s location for the in-water component of the show, with more than 20 new large luxury yacht berths as much on display as their floating occupants. The Venetian Cotai Expo location will exhibit sailing boats, power boats, speed boats, boat engines, marine accessories, docks and facilities design, tourism and charter, water sports, high-end lifestyle and related services. A number of famous and prestigious brands from Italy, the US, the UK, Netherlands and Germany are expected to bring new boats to the show.

The event is dedicated to the integration of global yacht resources. Organisers have invited representatives from UCINA (Italy) and ICOMIA (UK), as well as a number of other boating organizations from the US, Germany, Australia, and Taiwan to participate in this Macau Yacht Show in order to foster knowledge exchange. In addition representatives from yacht clubs and chambers of commerce from Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong and Fujian; socialites from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Mainland; as well as a large number of financial professionals and banking customers from the aforementioned places will be attending the event.

Gordon Hui, Director of Sunseeker Asia, speaking after the formal announcements of the press conference, said 'In my opinion, Macau Yacht Show is as important as any of the Hong Kong boat shows. It’s all about serving China, and it give an occasion for our China dealers to get together, and talk to our China customers. Hong Kong is full already, so the Hong Kong and Macau shows are a shop window for China. What I would like to see from the organisers of Macau Yacht Show is that they publicise this event throughout the whole of China – this really is a very important venue.'

The Macau Yacht Show is not just about boats! There will be a bikini party with supermodels, a design show, product press conferences, VIP luxury experiences and other activities, all aimed at demonstrating and leading the trend of luxury living on yachts. The Macau Yacht Show will take advantages of Macau’s location, its unique entertainment and resort lifestyle to make the event a charismatic and unparalleled feast.
