The 2013 West Coast Champs promises good sailors, good fun and tall tales over a few drinks at Richmond Yacht Club, San Francisco Bay this September 21st and 22nd.

Toni Sacco and Randy Smyth, the double handed duo who dominated the nationals on the East Coast earlier in the year are flying over for the event; will they continue their form on the Bay? Chris Kitchen will be back too, look out on the startline! He's flying in early for a week of sailing and filming with Dave Bernsten the West Coast Distributor of the Weta. A perfect excuse to arrive early, say hi and get some tips and training in with Chris and Davo.

Weta Marine have come to the party and are putting on kegs each evening on the yacht club lawn, to maximise the Weta story telling, we expect to hear some good ones!

Good fleets are expected after a strong showing at recent events, including a great weekend of family friendly racing at the High Sierra Regatta two weeks ago and the Ventura capsize clinic which was on the same weekend as the Tomales Bay get together at Inverness YC a month ago.

Online registration will be open soon, keep an eye on www.richmondyc.org, the championships will be part of the Multihull Invitational, along with the official NOR. In the meantime confirm your attendance with Dave - dave@wetawest.com , there are limited charter boats, so get in early to book.

There is going to be awesome racing, good people, good beer and good stories, not to mention some giant catamarans flying around in the background, don't miss this one!
