American based Navatek Ltd and New Zealand’s Lancer Industries ltd have teamed up to provide on water support for the NZL Sailing Team with Emirates Team New Zealand for the Red Bull Youth Americas Cup regatta.

The Red Bull Youth Americas Cup regatta takes place in the AC45 catamarans, during the short break between the Louis Vuitton Cup and Americas Cup in early September. Racing under the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron’s burgee, Peter Burling and his Olympic silver medallist teammate Blair Tuke will lead the team of under 25’s including Andy Maloney, Jono Spurdle, Sam Meech, Guy Endean and Jason Saunders.

The young team were facing a logistical hurdle in requiring a support boat for training and racing through August and September, and together Navatek and Lancer Industries have supplied a charter boat and provision for operating costs such as fuel.

Navatek Boat Builders are innovative vessel designers and have offered of their SeaBlade RIBs based in San Francisco as the team support boat. Navatek RIBs are unlike anything else available, and are outperforming other RIBs on the bay.

'We are excited to have our world class quality boats working alongside some of the best sailing talent in the world' says Navatek Spokesman Mike Buesling. 'When it comes to support vessels, manoeuvrability and stability in large sea states is paramount. Our RIBs excel at that.'

New Zealand’s Lancer Industries ltd manufactures the inflatable tubes for the Navatek boats, and in New Zealand they are available through Orca Engineering of Rotorua.

The SeaBlade 22 by Navatek Boat Builders is a brand new and revolutionary step forward in hull technology, and this innovative boat will be on display at the Auckland On Water Boat Show 26-29 September 2013.
