Boat Shows everywhere get interactive - now the All Wales Boat Show

Interactivity in the RYA Active Marina Program1 SW
Interactivity and skill building are becoming a growing part of boat shows all over the world. From Annapolis to Sydney to Southampton, boat shows are responding to the popularity of participation and education on the part of boat show attendees. The latest boat show to pick up the baton is the All Wales Boat Show, 24 - 28 July being held at Conwy and Deganwy Quay Marinas in the County of Conwy.

The Welsh Yachting Association watched, in particular, the RYA Active Marina Experience at the PSP Southampton Boat show last year, and is delighted to announce that the Active Marine Experience is coming to the newest show.

The FREE on-the-water and shore based workshops in partnership with Celtic Cruising & Snowdonia Sailing School will provide visitors with the opportunity to refresh their boating skills and gain top tips from expert instructors. From berthing and boat handling to man overboard recovery, the workshops will run throughout the show providing visitors with some real hands-on experience.

'It’s a very exciting time for the RYA Active Marina Programme in Wales and the All Wales Boat Show is being held at the 1st Marina in Wales to officially become part of the RYA Active Marina Programme', comments Guy Maplas, RYA Yachting Development Officer.

'The workshops on offer are tailor made to build the knowledge and boost the confidence of boaters of all abilities and we are delighted to be able to share them with even more people', Guy continued.

Places for the workshops at the show are very limited, so it is highly recommended you book your session in advance for either the shore based workshops or the first on-the-water sessions of the day, by visiting the Welsh Watersports Zone when you arrive at the show.
