This year at the Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week, some of the biggest names in ocean racing from Britain and Europe are returning to compete in the Artemis Challenge.
Now in its seventh year, and one of the highlights of the world’s largest sailing regatta, the Artemis Challenge sees some of the world’s fastest yachts, skippered by the biggest names in the sport and joined by high profile guests, taking on the 50 mile charity sprint around the Isle of Wight on August 8th. For 2013 the MOD70s return, joined by a strong fleet of IMOCA 60s following their herculean endeavours in the Vendée Globe.
