Multi-titled jet ski champion Anya Colley has reached Hull for the start of the P1 AquaX UK Championship to send out a message that she has what it takes to challenge the best guys in the business this summer.

The 21-year-old, from Long Eaton in Nottinghamshire, has been selected by P1 to replace Paul Rivett and will be racing the P1 AquaX Sea-Doo RXPX 260 in the highly competitive 300 class. With 14 major titles to her name, most of which were won when racing against men, Anya has experienced AquaX racing before but this will be her first full season in the 5-venue series.

'AquaX will be very different to the close course racing I'm used to, but the locations look great and I'm aiming to put in some good performances here in Hull over the weekend' she told reporters. 'My fitness regime includes circuit training, aerobics, spinning, cycling and swimming, so I'm in good shape for what is going to be a demanding season.'

More than 20 riders will be on the Humber for the opening race on Saturday afternoon, when expected strong winds are likely to make conditions challenging. 'I prefer racing against men as it pushes me to my limits and the guys don't let you off for being a girl' added Anya. 'I rode jet skis for fun from the age of five and when I took part in my first race in 2005 I instantly loved it and have never looked back.' Her other hobbies include motocross, go karting and snowboarding - so look out for more girl power from Anya in the P1 AquaX
