by Gary Linacre on 29 May 2013
WebApp Navionics http://www.navionics.com/
Anybody may view Navionics award-winning charts online with WebAPP interactive viewer and Web API customizable plug-in tool for businesses.

Navionics WebApp is a convenient reference tool for viewing charts, accessible directly from the navionics.com homepage. WebApp features the same Navionics 2D nautical charts available for chartplotters, allowing anyone to explore the seas, lakes, and oceans covered by the famous Navionics cartography.

Navionics Web API allows companies to display Navionics charts on their websites. Ideal for promoting on-the-water activities or other relevant purpose, Web API enables embedding of Navionics cartography within a company’s website, incorporating their unique content with the same detailed chart data their customers enjoy on mobile devices and chartplotters. Web API instructions can be downloaded here.

Both WebApp and the Web API provide end users access to Navionics maps for GPS plotters and mobile devices for free before and after the cartography purchase. WebApp is available in Italian, French, German and Spanish. WebApp will be integrated with additional important features currently available on Navionics apps for tablets and Navionics website
