All is ready for the seventh Central European Alp Cup Edition (CEAC), the Circuit on the European Alpine Lakes that is becoming an unmissable appointment for the Platu 25 International class. This year, for the first time, Germany is also involved. The first Act, indeed, will take place in Langenargen, on Constance Lake from the today to the 11 May. The other three acts of Alpen Cup Circuit will be placed in St. Lorenz on Mondsee Lake in Austria (25-26 May), in Brunnen in Umersee, one of the four branches of the Luzern lake in Switzerland (30 August-1 September) and in Mandello del Lario on Como Lake (7-8 September). Exactly like the previous editions, the 2013 Platu 25 Alpen Cup will involve crews from different nationalities.

As Günther Prummer, President APCA and founder of the race, lined out: 'Starting in 2007 with 23 and in 2008 with 29 participating teams a further increase is expected in the seventh Alpen Cup season. As First Main-Sponsor, 'Veleria Montefusco Sails' will support the seventh Central European Alpen Cup 2013 with one new sail (Genua light) and one voucher of 50% of a new Platu 25 sail. As second Main-Sponsor, FSE-Robline with Celox Sailing will present to the second to fifth placed team a set of high quality racing ropes customized for the Platu 25.'

All over these seven years, thanks to the Central European Alp Cup, the Alpine area became a nerve centre for the Platu 25 International Platu 25 class. The CEAC indeed is gathering crews from four different nationalities. The central and strategic position of this area carries on assuring a big participation of Platu 25 crews from all over Europe. For everybody that’s an important occasion to compete with International adversaries.

This year the most talented Platu 25 crews, will have to face the defender, the German 'B 52 Conquest' that won the 2012 Alp-Cup Championship. Felix Dorn and his guys have to defend the title against very strong adversaries, such as the Swiss 'Superbusi- Like a Vergin' helmed by Mathias Bermejo, who won the 2011 Alp-Cup and conquered the second step last year and 'Aramis', the Swiss boat helmed by Martin Sigrist, with Markus Bohren as a tactician, that conquered the third step of the podium.

All of them have also to face the Austrian 'La Burra' helmed by Thomas Laherstorfer. Next week end, many German teams are expected in Langenargen. Among them there are very competitive crews like Ingo Lochmann’s 'Randale 3' - 2012 Kieler Woche Champion in the Platu 25 class –and Jens Ahlgrimm’s 'GRÜN Sailing Team'.
