Clipper announces biggest owners’ regatta schedule to date

by Propel PR on 28 Apr 2013

The 2013 Clipper regatta schedule has just been released and it’s the most extensive in the brand’s history.

Kicking off the cruising calendar is the Moreton Bay April Regatta where boat owners will cover the anchorages of Blakesley’s, Tangalooma, Calypso Bay and Kooringal.

The favourite Fraser Island Regatta has been lengthened to allow more cruising time and an opportunity to travel to Lady Musgrave Island in September for eleven days. As well as the newly added, week long Clarence River Cruise in June, where gourmet restaurants and popular pubs are on the agenda whilst visiting Yamba, McLean, and right up to Grafton.

Clipper customers have become more involved in the boat owning process than ever. Not only do they have more autonomy in the design process but also more opportunities than ever to cruise with other owners.

'As the Clipper family continues to grow we are always being asked and reminded to organise more events and Regatta’s for our owners,' said managing director, Brett Thurley.

'Andy Diehm, Melanie Smith and myself are also able to liaise with our owners and enjoy the fun whilst Master V skipper, Jeremy Cooper, will lead the fleet on each cruise.

'In striving to deliver a higher caliber of service and customer care to connect with Clipper owners, we found most of them wanted to do more cruising but were more confident when doing so with other boats,' said Brett.

As the largest selling new motor yacht brand in Queensland for vessels 40-55ft in 2012*, Clipper Motor Yachts believes its sales success was largely due to the commitment to its customers.

Mr Thurley believes it’s important to support the purchaser not only with after sales service but also educating them on enjoying their boat. Some owners are more experienced than others but everyone benefits from the on and off water Clipper events.

Proud owner of a 48ft Cordova, Jack Heaton, has participated in the last two Fraser Island Regattas and said one of the main reasons in choosing a Clipper was the family of boat owners Clipper has built up.

'I’ve owned a few brands of boats over the years and none have showed such commitment in getting owners out on the water and enjoying their vessel and the lifestyle that comes with it.'

Clipper has also launched a facebook page for owners to share photos of their boats, favourite anchorages to share their opinions, boat movements and questions with other owners and interested boaters alike.
