Musto Vice Admiral's Cup 2013, will have an additional class due to popular demand. The additional class will be hosted by the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 May.
Entries are now invited from series production boats with a length of between 39 and 43 feet overall with an IRC handicap between 1.110 and 1.200.
This new class, Class 6, will race under IRC and is expected to include many of the boats that took part in the 2012 Commodore's Cup Trials, which were hosted in association with last year's Vice Admiral's Cup. These triallists enjoyed themselves so much last year that they contacted the organisers to ask if they could enter again this year and the club has been delighted to accommodate them. Amongst the boats expected to enter in this division are the First 40s and Kerr 40s.
Already familiar names such as Tony Langley's Weapon of Choice (TP52), Jeff Blue's Espresso Martini (Farr 45), Tony Mack's McFly (J/111), Steven Tapper's Stalker (J/109), Rickard Melander's Alice II (Quarter Tonner) and the Llewelly/Vigus/Wakefield owned Henri Lloyd/Forelle Estates (SB20) have confirmed their entries in the other classes and entries remain open.
The deadline for standard rate entries is this Friday 26 April and late entries, subject to a £50 entry fee surcharge, will be accepted until 16 May. Special rate block berthing has been arranged with Cowes Yacht Haven and entrant's wishing to take advantage of this offer and reserve a berth should indicate their requirements on the entry form.
