Alerion Yachts is celebrating the launch of the first Alerion 41 which also happens to be the 650th Alerion to be built. Popularized by the award-winning Alerion Express 28 and 33, Alerion Yachts has extended their reach from the 'Express' and 'Sport' line of day-sailers to the new 'Alerion' series of cruising boats.

The Alerion 41 captures all of the day-sailer spirit of its predecessors while boasting a finely finished interior for those that want to broaden their 'Alerion Sailing' experience. To have reached this number in 20 years testifies to the popularity of this remarkably attractive line of 'gentlemen's sailing yachts'.

Alerion Yachts is widely credited as the brand which created the gentleman's daysailer category and is now thought to have sold more boats than the combined total of boats in this category produced by all other builders.

The Alerion 41's traditional appearance, advanced underwater shape, sophisticated rig and infused fiberglass construction have produced a light-displacement boat optimized for coastal cruising. This boat is full of innovations, so many that it took 41 feet to fit them all in. Her opening transom for swimming and boarding access becomes untraceable when not in use, preserving her beautiful lines.

The folding anchor roller remains concealed until needed without impacting interior volume or the unmistakable Alerion aesthetic. Her standing headroom, voluminous main salon and two exquisitely appointed sleeping cabins provide everything you need for coastal cruising without any extraneous weight to slow you down. With a sail plan that is simple to handle, easy to maintain and allows you to be single-handedly underway in minutes, the Alerion 41 maximizes every moment you have for 'Alerion Sailing'.

'There isn't a better way to celebrate this incredible milestone of launching the 650th Alerion than to have it be the Alerion 41.' said Scott Bryant, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Alerion Yachts are built in a range of lengths from 20 to 41 feet by USWatercraft, a company which also owns and builds True North powerboats and North Rip sport fishing boats. USWatercraft is a licensed builder for J/Boats, Farr race boats and is the chosen yard by sailing champions for performance optimization. Alerion Yachts website
