IRC Lake Ontario announce 2013 Event Schedule

by Int'l IRC Owners Association - Lake Ontario on 26 Mar 2013
SW
IRC Lake Ontario is happy to announce the 2013 racing schedule and poster. All members are encouraged to distribute this calendar to their home clubs through their club newsletter and place the poster on their club notice board.

Our featured championship events in the Lake Ontario region this year are the IRC Canadian Championship hosted by the RCYC on June 22/23 and the IRC Great Lakes Championship hosted by the National Yacht Club in conjunction with the LYRA Annual Regatta on August 2/3/4.

In addition to these two stand alone events we will again hold a three event IRC Lake Ontario Championship Series comprised of the ABYC Open Regatta, PCYC Open Regatta and the EYC Open Regatta. As in the past number of years we will again hold an IRC Fall Series and for the first time we will have an IRC Offshore Championship comprised of the Susan Hood, Lake Ontario 300 and the Freeman Cup. Other stand alone events include the Youngstown Level Regatta on July 27/28 and the Bronte Rocks Regatta on the Labour Day weekend.

In upcoming newsletters we will publish the scoring information for all these events and series. IRC has attracted the best boats, the best sailors and created the best racing the region has to offer in recent years. We hope this diverse event schedule of quality events attracts the best level of competition to be found on Lake Ontario again this year.
