Open Bic inaugral Victorian Cup at Parkdale YC

The Open Bic has arrived in Victoria with the First Open Cup to be sailed on Port Philip Bay over the weekend of 20th and 21st April 2013.

This exciting single handed Dinghy which is suited to all junior sailors 30 - 75kgs is set to put the excitement of a modern design back into junior sailing. As an ISAF Class these little pocket rockets are setting the benchmark for junior sailing ,with well established fleets in WA, NSW and QLD its Victoria where the next fleet is taking shape. Young Australian sailors are making their mark on the World stage as well,as seen in Miami late last year, with the next World Open Cup set for Italy's Lake Garda with an expected fleet of 250.

Some of the local junior sailors will venture to the 2013 Australian Opencup at Easter in WA preceeding.

The Open Cup at Parkdale is expecting a fleet of 25, with many being minnow sailors from the local club. With U13 and U16 boys and girls divisions and the moto of 'Energized Sailing' plus the freestyle expression session there is something for all.

The class offers the next step to a junior performance dinghy after a Minnow, Sabot or Opti.
